Hi there, it’s Jill!

As Christmas and New Year approach, happy holidays everyone!

Looking back on this past year, a few lessons truly pushed my growth forward. Before the holiday season begins, I wanted to share these reflections, maybe they’ll resonate with you too.

01

Your Value Is Not Tied to How Much You Make

Every day when we scroll through social media, someone is sharing how much they earned by a certain age — and how you can “do the same.” While some of it can be inspiring or even educational, it can also quietly make us feel like we’re not enough.

But one thing I always remind myself is this: your value is not defined by your income.

Especially early in your career, money is not always the best indicator of your potential or your trajectory. When we’re still discovering our strengths, accumulating experience, and learning how we operate in the world, it’s normal not to be at our financial peak.

Often, when great opportunities show up, many people miss them. Not because they’re incapable, but because they haven’t yet built the experience to recognize them or the skills to fully seize them. It takes years of experimenting, reflecting, and recalibrating to develop that instinct.

In my opinion, what makes you truly valuable is your ability to keep improving yourself and striving for excellence, in any area you choose — whether that’s deepening expertise, mastering a hobby, or learning something new. Over time, these efforts compound into something powerful.

And when value compounds, financial rewards eventually follow.

02

Positive Thinking Is Priceless

The second lesson I learned is that the ability to interpret life positively is one of the strongest lifelong assets you can build.

It is much easier said than done. But even if it takes years to cultivate, why not start now? Do it for a year, the transition in mindset will surprise you!

Here’s a personal example. Some of you know that I had a baby in September . While it has been one of the most joyful experiences of my life, it has also been incredibly demanding: waking up 2–3 times each night, feeling isolated at home, and learning to function with months of broken sleep…

It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

But I kept telling myself: If you can get through this, you’ll come out stronger, ready to take on challenges you never imagined.

Think about all the time you save when you stop drowning in negative thoughts, and re-dedicate that energy to something that actually moves you forward!

03

Stay calm and patient, opportunities always come

Positive thinking naturally helps you stay calm. And when your mind is calm, your judgment becomes clearer. You stop reacting impulsively, and you avoid saying or doing things you might regret later.

One thing I’ve learned is that calmness and patience create space for the right opportunities to find you.

You notice options you might have ignored. You don’t waste energy fighting the present. And most importantly, you give yourself room to grow into the person who can actually handle the opportunities you want.

Final Thoughts

2025 taught me that growth comes from subtle shifts — valuing yourself beyond money, choosing positivity, and practicing patience.

As we wrap up the year, I hope you take a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come. Even if it didn’t feel like a “big year,” your small steps, quiet improvements, and inner strength have already set the foundation for everything you will become.

Here’s to an exciting year ahead.
